You know what’s funny about business? As entrepreneurs we follow our passion, get so excited about our product/ service, and just want to hit the ground running!
It’s a great feeling to go and run toward your goals…as I am 100% agreement with the entrepreneurial mantra: #progressoverperfection.
But here is the deal.
A few months in (or even a few years out) there will come a time that running at the seam of your pants is not the best way to do business.
There will come a time where to gain real momentum you will need real direction.
You have tried things, learned a freaking ton, what you like, what you don’t, who you like to serve, who you don’t, how much to charge, and even have had some big wins along the way.
But without a real direction on where you really want to go (and no phased plan to get there), it can lead to a business that will give you some short-term wins without sustainability.
When I first started my strategy and branding consulting company, I would hear from entrepreneurs that the word “strategy” sounded so corporate to them and it didn’t resonate with them.
But as these same entrepreneurs matured in their businesses, they came back to me and took back their statements. They realized that to grow they needed to learn from their past, get clearer on the direction of the company, and create a roadmap to guide them there and became some of my best clients.
The truth is they knew that they still may need to pivot along the way, but having a plan of attack to leverage their foundation was key to scaling.
During our engagement, I shared with them my proprietary scaling framework that I have been working on the last couple years that I am excited to share with you today called, “Stand, Brand & EXPANDTM”
Over the next several weeks, I will be sharing more and more about this scaling framework, so you can start to institute some of the key strategies in your business today.
